Things have been pretty busy over here. I've been going to bed really early lately and catching up on sleep every free moment I get it seems. I guess I must need it.

I was doing a little internet shopping for sweaters and came across this little number.

End of summer

Actually, we have about a month left of the summer season (unfortunately), but summer break officially ends today.

We are sad, but also excited to see what this new year will bring.

Here are some pictures from meet the teacher that I didn't really have time to do yesterday, thanks to Haley being jealous of my computer time!!

Walking with a purpose to find out who her teacher is. The classes are posted on those windows to the right... er left I mean. I actually had to edit this after posting it. I am awesome.
She got two of the four girl friends she was hoping for.

Sadly we didn't get a picture of the teacher. No one else even brought a camera! I know this is their third year of school, but that doesn't mean it isn't an occasion. We tried not to go overboard as to not embarass Haley...she probably would have been if we had asked her to stand with her teacher and smile in front of everyone. =0) 

Being silly as usual after dinner at Maggiano's. She is definitely a little ham when it's just the family.

This is before we left. Haley got sad after thinking about not being able to see dad during the day. It was sweet.

They have certainly had a good time.

I should come to expect this...

It doesn't matter what she is doing, Haley will follow me into the room every single time I try to get on the computer. She will bring Cooper in, shut the door, and (very loudly I might add) harass him to death in the 10x12 foot room we call the office. Amazing. This morning we did some laundry, and while I vacuumed she cleaned her bathroom and tidied up her bedroom. And by tidied she thought I meant take everything in the room and shove it in her closet, under the bed, or in whatever drawer was already open. Nice. The entire time of course, she is asking if she can watch tv, so finally I tell her, yes Haley, after asking for the millionth time if you can watch tv, the answer is yes Haley. Please go right ahead. And so I decide to come into the office, load some pictures, and bid summer farewell on the blog. And the second she hears me typing, she suddenly wants to show me her tooth, play hide and seek, and show her how the video camera works. She is a crazy little thing. So, I guess I have learned that if I really want to do some serious bonding, I should come into the office, and pretend to type. And she will suddenly be all mine. =0)

Let's pretend

We might be crazy but over here we are pretending it is fall. The weather is overcast and peaceful, and the blinds are actually open because the heat from the sun is not bearing down on the furniture and scalding us. I don't want to wish away the summer but I couldn't help myself!!  The house is cool, and smells like french toast and fresh coffee. We are loving it. Until we step outside of course!! =0)

Laugh out loud

Oh my gosh. I love to read blogs. So many of them have beautiful pictures, design inspiration, and free tutorials. And others are just hilarious. I came across this blog today that had me laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. They are pictures of the random things people see in their neighborhoods. Stocking up

The countdown has officially begun over here. School starts in three weeks, and Haley is excited. How can she not be with all the back-to-school shopping we've been doing? I'd be pretty excited too if I had two huge bags of brand new clothes sitting in my closet!

But instead of clothes I have 20 boxes of cereal sitting at the top of my pantry because they were half off and I had coupons for almost everything!

We want to be prepared people. Who knows how busy we could get? And with the nearest Kroger being a 1/4 of a mile away, it is almost necessary to stock up.

We also loaded up on lunch snacks like fruit rollups, gushers, and oat bars because they were half off too!! Hooray for amazing deals!

 We also bought a few things of peanut butter. =0)

I am also trying my hardest to not wish away summer. But when I step into my blazing hot car and the thermometer reads 120 degrees, it is very hard not to wish for an early fall...but I will try.

I "also" said "also" about 25 times. Must be time for bed. Also. =0)
